What more could one want than the small fishing coves near Penzance, Cornwall, or Yorkshire on the North Sea, where the moisture laden air is ideal for atmospheric paintings. Contrasted with coastal areas is the brilliant blue of mountain scenery of Austria, or the colourful local village ambiance of the south of France. It has been an adventure to be able to visit so many of the European countries. One eventually becomes accustomed to being the centre of attention as one sketches outdoors.
